Mitchell Harness Racing Stables
Meet Todd and the Staff
Todd Mitchell "The Wizard "
If Mitchell’s training career continues to climb upward in the same manner his driving career has—The Wizard—has truly cast a spell over harness racing.
Brendan joined our stable full time this year after 5 years touring the show jumping circuit. He holds his stable hand’s licence and has aspirations to gain his trials licence early next year. Brendan’s long term goal is to become a race day driver and has had some success at the Cambridge workouts from a limited amount of drives.
Shelley moved from Christchurch to our stables in December 2007 to take on the role of stable foreperson. Previously she spent time working in the Christchurch area for trainers such as Tim Butt and Cran Dalgety, as well as spending a year in Melbourne working for ex-pat Kiwi Merv Williamson. Shelley holds her junior drivers licence and has driven on both sides of the Tasman with her four winning drives all coming since her move north.
